One of the most famous and luxurious malls in the world, Bal Harbour Shops in Miami, will receive a new wing that promises to double in size. The project, conceived by architect Bernard Zyscovich, is in line with the transformation that the entire neighborhood is undergoing. Bal Harbour Village, as the community is known, is an elegant and exclusive neighborhood with beautiful beaches, five-star hotels and some of the most luxurious residential condominiums in Florida.
Two major highlights of the new Bal Harbour Shopping wing are the new Makoto restaurant and the new Burberry store.
Makoto, which appears on the list of the main restaurants in the region, along with the classic restaurant Carpaccio, also in the Bal Harbour Shops, opened a new area at the beginning of the year. The Japanese restaurant replaced the traditional rustic and “dark” atmosphere with a more French-style space, in the line of a “brasserie”.
The new Burberry store is also one of the highlights of the newly built space at the mall. The new store, essentially women’s, opened on the 26th of July on the lower floor.
New upgrades in Bal Harbour Village
The Bal Harbour community, known for being more exclusive and laid-back, is undergoing a transformation. In addition to expanding the mall, the old pier that marks the end of the beach will also be expanded.
Another novelty is the revitalization of the Waterfront Park, designed together with the residents. The new park was also designed by architect Bernard Zyscovich.
