About Chef Philippe Ruiz
Michellin-starred executive chef Philippe Ruiz was born in France. He brought a new concept to the American cuisine mixing the traditional American favorites with and the French style. During his career Ruiz received some awards. Besides the Michellin stars, he was also honored by the French Government in 2006 with the title of Chevalier de l’Ordre Du Mérite Agricole, because of his “continued and significant contribution to the quality, advancement and success of the agricultural and food sectors.”
Before Fresh American Bistro, Chef Ruiz worked at Biltmore Hotel’s Palme d’Ore in South Florida, Two-Michelin-Star Château de Divonne in France, Two-Michelin-Star Le Chat Botté in Switzerland and also in St. Martin’s renowned La Samanna resort.
