Get excited! An incredible new attraction will open up in Miami Beach this year. Architecture firm OMA is designing a 7 mile long underwater sculpture park. The project will include installations by many well-known artists. In addition, it will be much more than just another tourist destination.
“ReefLine” will help combat the effects of climate change while simultaneously embracing the art and culture of Miami. The designers are collaborating with marine biologists, specialized researchers, engineers, and more. This is to ensure that all materials and programs are safe and not harmful to the existing wildlife.
This new Miami Beach masterpiece will open its first phase as early as December of this year. This phase will include sculptures, and a snorkeling path. In order to remain safe from boats, the underwater park will also have a protective barrier that separates visitors from boats.
