Thanks to the release of new exhibits, special events and advertising campaigns, Zoo Miami looked like it was on track to reach the 1 million visitor mark in 2020, the year of its 40th anniversary, before closing its gates March 19 due to Covid-19.
Now, the acclaimed zoo is making the necessary adjustments to re-open at limited capacity in a manner that protects guests, staff and animals while providing visitors with some much-needed fresh air.
