More than one million infected with the coronavirus and 78,000 dead make the United States the country most affected by the pandemic, on a global scale.

However, the numbers do not seem to frighten most American governors, as about half of the fifty states that make up the country are reopening the economy – one of which is Florida, which eased restrictive measures on May 4.
