Trump organizations have just received the endorsement for their newest and most ambitious real estate project in South Florida, in the city of Doral: the Doral International Towers condominium, which promises to further transform the region. The Doral City Council approved the plan last Wednesday, allowing the development of a huge residential and commercial complex on the limits of Trump National Doral. This new venture was developed from the transformation of an existing hotel in the resort.
This is not Donald Trump’s first luxury project in Florida. Among its most renowned enterprises are the Trump Towers, in Sunny Isles Beach, and the Trump Hollywood, in Hollywood Beach, both known for their high standard of construction and privileged locations.
Eric Trump, executive vice president of the Trump Organization and son of Donald Trump, commented during the meeting: “We are building something that everyone will be proud of. We turned a hotel in poor condition into one of the best golf resorts in the world. Now we are reimagining Doral. This is Doral 2.0, and our family will continue to make this city proud.”
The original project, presented in 2022, provided for the construction of 2,500 residential units in 56 acres. After urban planning revisions and adjustments, it was reduced to include four 20-story towers, with 1,498 residential units, 470 hotel units and 13,161 square meters of commercial space. To improve traffic flow, which is a growing concern in the region, the plan provides for the addition of new sidewalks and conversion lanes along streets 36 and 87. Despite the magnitude of the enterprise, the resort’s golf courses will remain untouched.
The project, aimed at the high-end market, will attract buyers from outside the state, such as New York and California, and will have units priced from US$ 2 million. In addition, the development is expected to contribute approximately $6 million annually to the city of Doral and another $11 million per year to Miami-Dade County.
