Brazilian soccer star Hulk continues to invest in global real estate. This time, the player bought a Luxury Vacation Home in Orlando. The idea is to make money through short-term rental. Hulk had previously made headlines after buying a penthouse in a luxury condominium in Miami. The 7-million penthouse is located at Paramount Miami, within the Miami Worldcenter complex, one of the largest mixed-use developments in the world.
The former striker of the Brazilian team and current player of the Chinese team Shanghai SIPG, purchased a true mansion in Orlando of approximately 5400 SqFt. The house is a Vacation Home, which allows you to rent it for short periods. Hulk wants to spend short seasons with the family and rent the rest of the year.
The residence was all decorated by the renowned Brazilian designer Flávia Gueiros, who conceived a contemporary project, within the expectations of Hulk and his wife Camila Ângelo, and also of the different guests/clients.
Hulk’s home brings themed rooms
The house features themed decorated rooms based on Florida parks, providing guests with unique experiences. The garage was transformed into a game room, with a pool table, foosball and arcade. There is a football field designed on the ceiling. The garage walls are decorated with the Brazilian soccer team’s official uniforms and images of the player.
Like the Hulk player, several other celebrities invest in Orlando with the objective of obtaining income from short-term rentals. What attracts investors the most, not just celebrities, for this business is the high profitability in a low interest world context. Orlando homes can offer between 6% and 13% per year return on rent, net of expenses.
Now is a great time to finance, as interest rates in the US are at the lowest level since 1970. Orlando receives more than 70 million people annually. All this flow of tourists and professionals need a place to stay, which makes the destination one of the most promising for investments in a short-term rental. More and more tourists are choosing to rent houses instead of staying in hotels.
