Prime Marina Miami was recently sold for an undisclosed amount. Suntex Marina Investors, a Dallas-based company, bought the 114-slip in Coconut Grove. The company is planning to bring back its original name, Bayshore Landing.

Suntex Marina Investors already own marinas in Georgia, New Jersey, Texas and Virginia. In fact, they operate or own 100 marinas and boat yards in 22 states across the U.S. The company bought the property’s 70-year lease. According to David Filler, head of Suntex Investments, Florida, Suntex is always looking for investments that align with its core objectives.

In addition, the property includes 40,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space. Besides Monty’s, some of its current tenants include Starbucks, Sushi Maki and some marine businesses. Because neighborhoods surrounding Biscayne Bay, such as Coconut Grove, are part of one of the largest boating communities in the world, this is a good acquisition for the company. According to David Filler “[Suntex] is looking forward to greatly enhancing the boating experience for everyone to enjoy.”
