Miami’s Jungle Island is getting a makeover. The renowned attraction is spending $300 million to remodel and rebrand. The new development will turn Jungle Island into an eco-adventure park and hotel. In fact, it will feature zip lines, water attractions, animal encounters, nightlife and entertainment, and a brand new hotel.
Located on Miami’s Watson Island, this 18.5 eco-adventure park and hotel already got all approvals necessary to move forward. This project will reimagine Jungle Island, which has been around since 1936. Watson Island is located about 5 minutes away from Downtown Miami and South Beach. This makes it a great location for a project like this.
Allegedly, the new park will open in mid-2022 rebranded as “Jungle Island: Miami’s Adventure Oasis.” Furthermore, it will include the only aerial adventure course in South Florida. This will include zip lines, ropes courses, bridges, climbing nets, and more. In addition, it will also have a 19,000 square foot trampoline park, interactive animal nature tours, a big amphitheater, dining destinations, and nightlife experiences. Furthermore, it will also feature a Mediterranean-style beach club and cocktail lounge, and many water rides.
As for the hotel, it will feature 300 rooms. It will be family-friendly, and eco-friendly, and will open in late 2024. Furthermore, in addition to all the nature attractions, the resort will also have more than 10 indoor and outdoor meeting and event spaces. This will allow for catering of large groups. These can range from small celebrations to 1000+ person gatherings.
Construction for the adventure park will begin soon. However, the project is still waiting on a final building permit for the hotel, which is on schedule to break ground in 2022.
