New York City Institution, Pastis, is coming to Miami. The award winning restauranteurs are planning on opening a location in Wynwood. In fact, the Wynwood restaurant will take place at an 8,000-square-foot space at 380 Northwest 26th Street. This will be the first South Florida location for Pastis, and will open in the Summer of 2022. Pastis is a Parisian-style bistro. In addition, the Miami location will be designed McNally and Ian McPheely of Paisley Design.
Furthermore, the restaurant will be located at a two-building property owned by David Edelstein. The developer confirmed that Pastis signed a long-term lease for the space. Because Wynwood is booming, it will be a great location for the New York restaurant. In the next 12 to 15 months, the Miami neighborhood will deliver about 3,500 residential units. Furthermore, Wynwood has about 1 million square feet of office space. Pastis will be located across the street from Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto’s momosan, a restaurant that opened in December.
A number of New York based restaurant groups are planning on opening up locations in South Florida. Restaurant segments are migrating or investing in Florida in search of a pleasant climate, fewer taxes and less severe restrictions for COVID.
