Good news for Florida residents and visitors. The new Brightline Miami to Orlando train is almost here. Brightline is a modern, eco-friendly, and high-speed train. The rail connecting Miami to Orlando has officially passed the halfway mark for construction. In total, the rail will be 170 miles. Once it is completed by by late 2022, it will connect South and Central Florida. It will become one of the country’s largest and most significant infrastructure projects.
The new Brightline Miami to Orlando train has over 1,000 construction workers. In addition, it will create over 10,000 jobs and over $6.4 billion in economic impact. Right now, Brightline has stations and operations in Fort Lauderdale, Miami, and West Palm Beach. The company also has plans to add additional stations in Boca Raton and Aventura. They are also discussing possible expansions to Disney and Tampa.
