Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) is a modern and contemporary art museum in Miami dedicated to collecting and exhibiting international art of the 20th and 21st centuries.
The museum was founded in 1984 and it’s name was The Center for the Fine Arts (CFA). At that time the facility offered temporary exhibitions only. Ten years later CFA was transformed into a private institution evolving to contemporary museum that could reflect Miami’s multicultural and modern environment. By that time the museum was renamed Miami Art Museum of Dade County Association, Inc. (MAM).
In 2013 the renewed architets Herzog & de Meuron where commissioned to design a new building for the MAM in a 200,000-square-foot facility overlooking Biscayne Bay. The museum was then renamed the Jorge M. Pérez Art Museum of Miami-Dade County, in recognition of Mr. Pérez’s generous leadership gift.
